Nepal Heritage Tour - 10 Days

Nepal Heritage Tour includes Tansen, the most beautiful city of Nepal, Pokhara, the famous tourism city of Nepal, Chitwan National Park, a home to the Royal Bengal Tiger, and Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha.

Nepal Heritage begins from the Kathmandu Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Kathmandu Valley is also one of the prominent valleys of Asia; it is also the city of temples. The temples of Kathmandu exhibit the architectural wonders. On the basis of these, the British Historian called Kathmandu “Nepal Proper”. Kathmandu derived its name from Kaasthamandap, a big wooden house, located in the middle of Kathmandu Durbar Square, which you visit during Nepal Heritage Tour. The square has been made from a single tree, without using iron nails. Further, Kathmandu Durbar Square is a complex of palaces, courtyards, and temples, and it was built between the 12th and 18th centuries. Also the square used to be the seat of the Malla Kings in the past. At present, it is a place for the social, religious, and urban activities. Inside Kathmandu Durbar Square is a museum, and this has been divided into 3 gallaries.

Beside these, Nepal Heritage Tour also includes Patan’s 4 stupas, erected by Charumati, who was a daughter of the Emperor Ashoka; it also includes Swayambhunath and Boudhanath stupas, the two holiest Buddhist Sites of Nepal. During Nepal Heritage Tour, you also visit Pashupatinath, the most sacred temple of the Hindus, which is situated 5 km east from the heart of Kathmandu. Pashupathinath is richly ornamented and houses the sacred “Shiva Lingam,” or the phallic symbol of Lord Shiva. Chronicles indicate that Pashupatinath dates back to 400 A.D.
