activities

The activities you can do in Nepal are the followings:

Trekking and Nepal go together. But trekking in Nepal is different from those of Switzerland, South Africa, Turkey, Belize, Norway, Australia, and the USA because in Nepal, trekking is one step ahead, for example, it includes walking uphill, walking downhill, walking side hill, and crossing a high pass of 5500 m, and at the sametime, all these walking include rugged, stony, ridge, steep, and rough trails, which are rarely found in one trek in other trekking zones of the world. Not all the trekking that you do in Nepal have a high pass, but 2 things should be clear to you that you will be ascending to an altitude of 300 m daily, and you will also be trekking 4 to 6 hours a day, daily. Only sometimes, you will be trekking 8 hours a day. Trekking time also vary from trekker to trekker, so in other words, it means, trekking time very much depends on the walking style of a trekker.

Ace Holidays has listed easy treks for reference, and they are Poon Hill Ghorepani Trek, Royal Trek, and Everest Panorama Trek, but this does not mean that you would not be walking uphill. Uphill is a part of trekking, whether you do easy trek or moderate trek, or difficult trek in any parts of Nepal.

During the trekking, a trek guide accompanies you and looks after you, while a porter carries your goods, and walks before you. Sometimes, the porter walks along with you. It is also during the trekking that you will reach a viewpoint, which offers a fantastic view of mountains, as well as, you will see the exceptional view of sunrise and sunset on the mountains.

Nepal is famous for trekking, as well as, it is famous for an expedition. Expedition means an adventurous journey undertaken by a climber, who wants to reach an altitude of 5600 m or 6000 m or 8848 m of the mountain. During the expedition, a climber walks on the ridge, face wall, crevasses, ice wall, and ridge of the mountain. A climber also spends a night at the base camp, camp I, camp II, camp III, camp IV, and camp V, depending on the altitude of the mountain. If you are on the expedition in Island Peak, or Yala Peak, or Mera Peak, you will only spend a night at its base camps because you can summit it in one day.

Nepal is also equally famous for tours. You can do cultural tour, as well as, volunteer tour in Nepal. No tour demands any experiences from you. All tours include interesting places. They also include the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. During the tour, you will be taken from one interesting tourism place to another by a private transportation. Just like in the trekking, in the tour also, a city guide accompanies you and makes you familiar with the culture and heritage of the places that you are visiting and exploring. Beside this, Nepal is also famous for jungle safari, paragliding, rafting, kayaking, and bungee jumping.

Nepal is also famous for mountain biking. Kathmandu Valley Rim Mountain Biking is easy to do compared to Annapurna, Upper Dolpo, and Upper Mustang Mountain Biking. The trails of these mountain biking descend downhill, ascend uphill, and traverse the rugged high passes. During the mountain biking, you ride on a single trail, a paved trail, through agricultural fields, and along hillside. Sometimes, during the mountain biking, you have to carry a bike on your shoulder and walk uphill and downhill, especially when you cross the Thorong La Pass in Annapurna region. You can also do one-day biking tour on the outskirts of Kathmandu city.
