The starting point of Everest Panorama Trek is Lukla. In order to reach the starting point, you take a scenic flight from Kathmandu. From the window of a plane, you will see the highest mountains of the world. After 35 mins, you will reach Lukla. From Lukla, the trekking trail begins along the bank of the glaciated Dudh Kosi River and traverses a stony trail, “chortens,” colorful Buddhist flags, Sherpa villages and the Buddhist monasteries. Later, it heads off to Namche Bazaar, the largest Sherpa village of Nepal, which is also known as the Gateway to Everest. Then the trail heads off to Syangboche Airport, which is the world’s highest altitude airport, and which is one of the viewpoints of the Everest region. This viewpoint offers the stunning view of mountains, such as Kongde Ri, Thamserku, Kusum Kangaroo, Kamtega, Ama Dablam, Tawache Peak, Khumbila (Holy Peak).

The itinerary of Everest Panorama Trek also takes you to Tengboche. This village has a beautiful monastery. Inside the monastery are incredible ornate, 20 – foot sculpture of Buddha, musical instruments and Buddhist Religious Leaders Robes. You can also attend puja (worshipping of god) at 3 p.m. and then you will trek downhill to Deboche for 15 minutes. The Sherpas of Everest region hold Tengboche monastery in a high esteem.
