To explore Kathmandu means to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath, Boudanath, and Pashupatinath. Kathmandu Durbar Square comprises of the palaces, courtyards, and temples, which were built between the 12th and 18th centuries. Swoyambunath and Pashupatinath are the sacred sites to the Buddhists and the Hindus respectively.

The latter is situated on the bank of the Bagmati River and is an ornamented temple, which houses a sacred “Shiva Lingam,” the phallic symbol of the Lord Shiva. Explore Kathmandu also includes the interesting places of Bhaktapur, such as Durbar Square and Changu Narayan Temple. During the exploration, you will also drive to Pharping, an ancient and renowned village, situated in the southern region of Kathmandu.

Other highlights of Explore Kathmandu are Dakshinkali Temple and Patan Durbar Square. This square is an enchanting combination of palace buildings, artistic courtyards, graceful pagoda, and temples. One of the remarkable monuments at Patan Durbar Square is Krishna Temple, built in the 17th century. Later, you will visit the Tibetan Refugee Camp and the Handicraft Center. After visiting the places of interest of the Kathmandu Valley, you will visit Nagarkot, which has a viewpoint, from where you can see the spectacular view of the sunrise, as well as a panoramic view of the Himalayan Ranges.
