Gorkha Community Volunteer Program - 14 Days

Gorkha Community Volunteer Program (GCVP) is a program in which all the experts and interested individuals, working in different areas, participate. These experts and individuals have a common goal, that is, to make a contribution on the sustainable developments of Gorkha, in terms of health, education, and seasonal farming. Gorkha Community Volunteer Program is supported by Ace Holidays and Sambhav Nepal, a non-profit government organization. Through this program, Ace Holidays is able to perform the duties of Corporate Social Responsibility.

The itinerary of Gorkha Community Volunteer Program is flexible and can be modified, according to your requirements. You also get enough opportunity to witness the traditional lifestyle and culture of the Gorkha people. You also do a traditional type of farming in which you use bulls for tilling a paddy field. Apart from this, there are also recreational activities, such as fishing, bathing, and hiking. Bathing in the river, rivulet, and spring water may be a new thing to you, who live in an urban area, while hiking to the neighboring villages, which have hills, from where you see both the glimpses of the sunrise and the sunset on the mountains.

The volunteering activity also depends upon the status of work of the local schools and health post. In the evening, you can visit temples, shaman, blacksmith, and Arupokhari market or upon request, Ace Holidays will arrange a rest day to you, so that you can venture deeper into neighboring villages up north along the banks of the Budi Gandaki River, that is, the trekking route of Manaslu Trek
