Oman – Kathmandu Flight

Oman – Kathmandu Flight

From January 1, 2016, there will be 21 flights a week from Nepal to Oman. At present (2015), there are 7 flights a week from Nepal to Oman. Only Oman Air performs these flights; no Nepali Air perform these flights.

According to the new agreement, signed between Nepal and Oman, both countries can operate cargo flights without any restrictions. Moreover, the new agreement includes Salalah, one of the major cities of Oman, where the plane lands. But the Nepalese, who land at Salalah should travel 1000 km to Muscat if they want to fly to Kathmandu. Last year, that is, 2014, Oman Air brought 7, 905 tourists to Nepal, and they were mostly from the UK and Germany.
